Project Overview:

The Washakie County School District's design objectives included spatial arrangements based on the education philosophy of Team Teaching. General-purpose classrooms for each grade are grouped together. Use of a corridor system that is supervised and monitored from just a few key positions, ensures safety and security.

The facility was designed with individual heat pumps to serve each classroom. This HVAC system offers the greatest opportunity of payback on energy conservation. The system stores excess heat and uses during occupied times at night. Teachers and staff are allowed to determine their preferred room temperatures within a prescribed range.
